Audrey Tyler Charity Trust provides grants throughout Brecon to benefit the inhabitants of the town in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said habitants of Brecon.

The Trust was established to honour the legacy of Audrey Tyler, a passionate advocate for the arts and community well-being in Brecon. Audrey’s dedication to musicals and the Brecon Amateur Dramatic Society (BATS) inspired her to leave a generous gift in her will to support the town she loved.
Each year, the trust invites local organisations and groups to apply for small grants to support their initiatives. Whether it’s funding a community event, enhancing educational resources, or supporting a creative project, we are here to help make your vision a reality.
Our mission is to improve the lives of Brecon’s inhabitants by advancing education and providing opportunities for recreation and leisure, with a special focus on music and dramatic arts. Through our grants, we aim to nurture projects and events that bring joy, creativity, and community spirit to Brecon.

We are proud to support Brecon Mountain Rescue through the Audrey Tyler Trust’s grant program. Their dedicated team of 60 volunteers provides invaluable assistance in the Brecon Beacons and Mid Wales, responding to over 100 emergency callouts each year.
Through high-quality productions, live orchestral music, and community participation,. With support from the Audrey Tyler Charity Trust, Brecon Festival Ballet continues to enhance artistic experiences, foster local talent, and enrich the cultural life of the town.
Thanks to support from the Audrey Tyler Charity Trust, Brecon Jazz continues to thrive, ensuring music lovers of all ages can experience outstanding performances, workshops, and community events. The festival not only showcases incredible talent but also brings people together through a shared love of jazz.
